Pakistani police investigates actress Humaira Asghar's mysterious death

Police say Humaira Asghar’s body may be declared abandoned if family continues to reject it.

Karachi - A shocking turn of events unfolded in the tragic case of Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar, when her own family refused to accept her body. According to police sources, when officials reached out to her family after discovering her lifeless body, they were met with harsh words and outright denial.

Family reportedly told authorities, “We lost contact with him one and a half to two years ago and have nothing to do with him. Do whatever you want with the body.” Despite repeated attempts by the police, the family refused to make any further contact.

Speaking to the media, SSP South Mahzoor Ali confirmed that if no family member claims the body, it can be declared abandoned and buried under official procedures.

The case also highlights disturbing details about Humaira Asghar’s recent life. The actress had allegedly not paid rent to her landlord since early 2024, which will lead to legal action. A case was already pending in court regarding the unpaid dues.

Police have recovered two mobile phones from the deceased. Authorities are working to extract data that could help in the investigation. So far, no one from the showbiz community has come forward regarding his death or contacted the police.

SSP Muhar Ali said that the cause of death is yet to be ascertained and it will be confirmed only after the post-mortem and chemical test reports come. If any suspicious object or traces of dirt are found, the police are ready to register a formal case.

If the family is not willing to cooperate, the police will proceed to register a case based on independent findings,” the officer added.

As the entertainment world remains silent, questions continue to arise over the life and untimely death of actress Humaira Asghar. The case now hinges on forensic findings and digital evidence from its devices, which could provide the missing pieces of this tragic puzzle.
